Speaker 1:

So in today's final episode of the Style SOS series, I wanted to talk to you a little bit about why I created the Mastering your Color Palette and kind of give you a small little walkthrough. So when coming up and creating the Mastering your Color Palette, of course I did all the research and I wanted to do something that was a little bit different and to help you with building and discovering your style and starting with the basics, which is just finding out what color palette you would want to create, and there weren't a lot of aids or guides to help you through that. If there were, they were overly complicated, so I made this as simple as I possibly could. So when you're looking through the guide, I want you to have fun with it and know that, even though, yes, I'm telling you choose one or two or three colors, you can choose as many as you want to. So what I want to do now is I want to take you through just each of the steps that are in the guide, so it will kind of help you. When you download it the link is in the description below for you to judge, so you can go ahead and begin creating your master color palette.

Speaker 1:

So first up in there is your base color. Now I have you can say use one, but you could use two and your base colors are for, say, your trousers, your skirts, even your dresses. This way, with base colors, all of the other colors that we're going to talk about next, they will go with everything and, the biggest thing with the mastering your color palette and when you get it into the guide, you will actually see that all of the colors literally go together. So this is going to give you a look that is elevated. You will always look dress, it will take you, it will literally elevate your style a notch or two just by the colors that you choose. So, of course, you want to first start off with your base colors next.

Speaker 1:

Next, I give you a plethora of neutral colors. Now the neutral colors. These can be tops, sweaters, blouses, t-shirts, whatever you want. As far as this goes, neutral colors and why we choose these is because they're versatile. Again, this whole guide, everything literally goes with everything, no matter what you do. So you want to kind of mix it with your creams, your ivories, your nudes, your tans, your chocolates, just to name a few. Why? Because these particular colors that I just mentioned always give you that extra elevated, seamless, classic, timeless look that you were going for. It will make you stand out a little more with finding and creating and discovering your neutral color palette. So I'll have a lot of fun with the neutral colors.

Speaker 1:

You could even break it up to where you may have your summer neutrals. You could even have your winter neutrals if you want to. For me, for example, I probably will always stay with the same color palette all year, but just have items for spring and summer, winter and fall. You could do that as well. Now, last but not least, I know a lot of people. I've seen people talk about colors. Well, we are going to also add just that little extra pop of color Now with this, because I know myself I'm really good when it comes to your base colors and your neutral colors, but sometimes, when it comes to that accent color, we might be a little scared. If you want to start with one, that is fine. This is going to give you your accent, so you could still use this for tops, you could use it for shoes, you could use it for your coats, so you might want to get a nice sage trench coat, or you might want to get an olive blazer. These are other ways that you could add color to your wardrobe without going overboard.

Speaker 1:

And also, when you're looking at and mastering out and figuring out your color palette, you also want to think of the quality of the clothes as well, because with the clothes and the quality of the clothes will also take it and elevate your style as well. So when you're doing this, keep in mind where am I going to also shop for this as well, and if you want me to do a list of top 10 places to shop or anything like that, let me know and I'll actually create a YouTube video of it to post it. So let me know over on LinkedIn or even on my Instagram account, slide in my DMs and let me know if you would want to see something like that, and I'll be more than happy to do so. Also, in the guide, I'm also giving you a brainstorming section, and I want you to take into account a couple of things what is your lifestyle? What are your career goals or your professional goals? What are your personal goals?

Speaker 1:

All of this encompasses developing your style, and you do have to ask yourself these questions as to what would go to the next step, which would be like the type of clothes that you want. Do you want to be sporty? Do you want to be chic? You have to be able to answer these questions first in order for you to go on to the next step. But you could always do the colors first, because the colors they're always going to translate over into no matter what you do, and then I also give you a space for notes so that you're able to just brainstorm and brain dump and do all of the ideas that you have. You can go ahead and put them all on paper.

Speaker 1:

So I hope that this was helpful and be sure to click and access your Mastering your color palette today to begin, just to have to get your juices flowing. And I think once you get the color palettes down first, going out and buying and looking at clothes will be a little bit easier. You will also be able to, when you're going in and cleaning out and editing out your closets, you're also able to go in and see what colors you already have and you're actually able to take those colors and those this palette that you're creating, and be able to create outfits with the outfits that you already have, to kind of become comfortable with shopping your closet and playing around with things before you actually go out and actually start shopping.
